Draft Result Drafted in the 2009 Draft by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2nd round with the #25 pick.
Kruger is a hard worker who should translate well Baltimore's aggressive hybrid scheme

Strengths A tough player with all-around skills whom we expect to rise up draft boards after teams watch the tape and see Kruger's combination of size, determination and atleticism. A ferocious competitor on the football field. Can lineup on either end spot and pressure the quarterback. One of the best all-around defensive ends in the draft. Great size compared to most of the defensive ends in this class. Doesn't give up on plays and displays a high motor. Good but not great pass rusher including 7.5 sacks as a sophomore. Spent two years on a Church Mission, so off the field problems should not become a concern. Was originally signed by Utah to play quarterback. He gave the Alabama offensive line fits in the Sugar Bowl.

Weaknesses Despite being 22 years old, he is not esp. experienced having played just 2 years in college and converting from quarterback. He needs to refine his technique and add more pass rush moves. Needs to improve run defense. Takes bad angles on run plays going to his side.
