Draft Result Drafted in the 2009 Draft by the Carolina Panthers in the 2nd round with the #11 pick.
A good pass rusher who can work opposite Julius Peppers and maybe replace him down the road as Peppers will likely play as a franchised player this year for the Panthers.

Strengths Physical speciman. Good height. One of the best pure pass rushers in the draft. One of the fastest risers of any player on the board. Typical lightning quick and aggressive Florida St defensive lineman. Plays low to the ground and has strong pass rushing radar. Uses hands well and should force a lot of fumbles upon contact. Versatile enough to play in either scheme.

Weaknesses Ideal height but needs to add a few more pounds. Needs to play more under control. Could get fooled by screens and draws on a consistent basis as a rookie. If drafted by a 3-4 team will have to learn pass coverage skills. Florida State defensive ends have not always translated college success to the pros esp. in the 3-4.
