Draft Result Drafted in the 2009 Draft by the New England Patriots in the 3rd round with the #19 pick.
An elite return prospect who could develop as a receiver down the road. By taking Tate after failing a drug test I don't want to hear how New England values character more than other teams.

Strengths Explosive playmaker with excellent kickoff and punt return skills. Possesses good hands and is extremely quick. Dangerous open field runner. Projects best as a return and slot receiver.

Weaknesses Coming off of a torn ACL. He needs to be able to show he is healthy if he wants to be a 3rd or 4th round pick. Not a polished reciever and lacks the speed to be a true deep threat.
