Every word said New England liked Darius Butler and it shows to be true as they take him here. Butler is a playmaking corner who should fit their scheme well and could also make an impact as a punt returner.

Strengths Four year starter with explosive athletic skill. An improving cover guy who is a better player than 2007 4th round pick Tyvon Branch. Able to turn and run with receivers. Has playmaking ability. Versatile athlete who has played wide receiver and kick returner at UConn speaking to his athletic ability.

Weaknesses Is he a great athlete or a great corner. Did not play very aggressive at the Senior Bowl. Was tentative in coverage and appeared to be afraid to make mistakes.
