Draft Result Drafted in the 2009 Draft by the Seattle Seahawks in the 1st round with the #4 pick.
Aaron Curry is the top linebacker in the draft and should immediately upgrade both the run and pass defense. As tempting as the offensive tackle is, Curry should make more of an immediate impact. Passing on Mark Sanchez was smart because it would have been like waving the rebuilding flag.

Strengths A smart athletic linebacker. Is a bit overlooked in a draft with Laurinaitis and Maualuga, but he may be the best linebacker of the three. Versatile linebacker with the size and speed to play inside or outside in a 3-4 or 4-3. A sideline to sideline tackling machine. Great instincts as a pass defender. Physical at the point of attack. Good blitzer who can get after the quarterback and make plays in the backfield. Speed allowed Wake Forest defense to prevent big running plays. Extremely productive.

Weaknesses Over aggressive at times. Size may result in teams over analyzing how to use Aaron Curry. At 250lbs is he too big to play weakside or too fast to play strongside? If teams are smart they won't over analyze Aaron Curry's abilities and just put him on the football field
