Draft Result Drafted in the 2009 Draft by the New York Giants in the 2nd round with the #13 pick.
I think Sintim is a good player but he is not a good fit for the 4-3. Al Groh's 3-4 OLBs have struggled to make an impact as SLBs in the NFL (see Darryl Blackstock and Ahmad Brooks)

Strengths Four year starter and team captain. Excellent outside rusher. Would ideally fit as a 3-4 outside linebacker where he could best utilize his pass rushing skills. Has excellent size and speed for a strong side linebacker. Good awareness and ability to diagnose plays. Plays through pain as witnessed by playing tearing ligaments in his shoulder in 2006.

Weaknesses Not a prototypical sideline to sideline linebacker. Solid in zone coverage but could struggle to man up backs and tight ends. Not as good against the run as you would expect. The Virginia linebackers have not played up to their reputations in recent years (Ahmad Brooks and Darryl Blackstock being 2 examples of third rounders gone bust).
