Right tackle is the one weak spot on their offensive line and Michael Oher is a great fit. While he can play on the left side, right tackle is probably the best fit Oher long term

Strengths Overall skill level and has a high ceiling. Excellent athlete with all the measureables. Ideal size at 6-5 320. Strong with long arms and excellent quickness. Moves his feet well and can handle speed rushers. A better pass blocker than run blocker at this stage. Can be a force in the ground game when he puts his mind to it. Has started 37 consecutive games at left tackle for Ole Miss. . Could have been the number two offensive tackle behind Jake Long had he declared last year. A good player now but has the ability to be great. A great story who has overcome adversity in his upbringing to become the player he is today. Despite his talent he is a bit of a risk because you are picking a little on potential.

Weaknesses Not many flaws in Oher's game but can rely too much on physical talent at times. Needs to improve his consistency. Despite his experience he needs to improve his technique. He has a tendency to standup leaving him vulnerable to opposing bull rushes (he got caught doing this a couple of times at the Senior Bowl). Has struggled to pick up blitzers and stunts at times. Some have questioned his intelligence due in part to the book The Blind Side which talked about his academic struggles. That said Oher has graduated on time and done well academically at Ole Miss. Was the best tackle prospect at the Senior Bowl but did not take advantage of the opportunity Jason Smith and Eugene Monroe provided by not coming.
